Web Tech and Digital Marketing

Overview

This bootcamp program will last for 13 weeks or 3 months on a full-time basis. Schedule will be from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm.
Class size varies depending on location.

 

This program is an excellent place to get your foot in the door in the tech industry, and to learn new skills that will complement your existing ones. Through the program, you will learn basic coding languages, various relevant software, media queries, HTML and CSS, web development best practices in WordPress, and using social media and digital marketing in business. If you are an entrepreneur, taking this program will equip you with additional skills that will keep your business competitive.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the program, you will have demonstrated the following:

• Designing for the web
  Learn to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, two widely accepted software leaders in the design industry, to create comprehensive website mock-ups, and graphic elements and logos.
• Coding for the web and mobile
  Create standards compliant to HTML5 and CSS3 websites, and designs responsive to any modern devices while focusing on best practices in technical and practical application.
• Setting up and maintaining CMS
  As content management systems are standard in the web industry, learn to use WordPress to create, customize, and extend the functionality of websites to meet the needs of various clients.
• Developing strategies and tools for digital marketing
  Master best search engine optimization practices, social media tools, and multi-channel digital marketing strategies to ensure that websites reach their intended audience.

Admission Requirements

• A valid photo ID or birth certificate
• A high school diploma or be at least 19 years of age
• Students under the age of 19 require their parent’s or guardian’s signature
• Must pass the Basic Computer Skills Assessment
